The prime suspect in the ambush of an Assam Rifles vehicle, in which two personnel were killed in Manipur’s Bishnupur district on September 19, was arrested on Wednesday, police said.
The accused, identified as Khundongbam Ojit Singh, 47, is a member of the banned Meitei insurgent outfit Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) and is presently on bail, the Manipur Police said in a statement.
