A devastated family has paid tribute to a 'severely autistic' eight-year-old boy with 'a beautiful personality' who was allegedly murdered by his mother in the family home.
Rhys Anthony Cameron was discovered unresponsive by a family member on Monday September 15 and emergency services were called at 10am.
He is said to have died some time between September 13 and September 15.
His mother, Louise Cameron, 40, was arrested after receiving medical treatment herself.
She now awaits trial accused of Rhys's murder in Billingham, County Durham. She appeared at Teesside Crown Court on Friday 19 September and has been remanded in custody until her next appearance on Thursday 6 November.
