A pub landlord has banned children from the premises after a string of complaints from customers about youngsters 'running around left to their own devices'.
The New Inn in Bacup, Lancashire, announced the move on Sunday evening, with the new rules taking effect yesterday.
Management said they had faced repeated complaints about children disrupting the pub, including mess being left behind and youngsters 'running around' unsupervised.
Under the new policy, no children under 16 will be allowed inside at all, while those under 18 must leave by 7.30pm.
The pub described it as a 'hard decision' but insisted they had been left with no alternative. The restrictions will also apply to the landlord's own children.
