Yvette Cooper widened the UK's rift with Israel last night with a blistering attack on Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN over his actions in Gaza.
The Foreign Secretary accused the leader of Britain's main ally in the Middle East of letting children starve in an 'unbearable humanitarian catastrophe' because he 'chooses to escalate war and hold back aid'.
She also accused the hardline right-winger of pandering to extremists with his vow never to allow the creation of a Palestinian state, after a theoretical one was recognised by the UK and other leading nations.
Relations between the two nations have sunk to a low not seen in decades after Sir Keir's announcement on Sunday that was branded 'absurd' by Tel Aviv.
But in a speech at the UN general assembly in New York last night, Ms Cooper tried to fight off claims - including from US president Donald Trump - that the decision simply rewarded Hamas for its brutal terror campaign against its neighbours.
