The prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann terrified nightclub- goers as he indulged in a boozy night out just 48 hours after he was released from a German jail.
Women screamed in horror when 49-year-old Christian Brueckner was spotted boldly spending the evening at the venue, with many instantly recognising the face of the high-profile convicted sex offender.
Brueckner was released after serving six years of a seven-year sentence at Sehnde prison for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman at her home in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2005.
The German national was ordered to wear an electronic ankle tag for the next five years, though this would not work were he to leave the country.
He has never been charged with any crime in relation to the high-profile disappearance of McCann, who went missing when she was three years old in Praia da Luz in 2007.
