Premier Giorgia Meloni said the legacy of Charlie Kirk will live on after his murder in a post on X on Monday featuring a video of the funeral of the American Conservative activist.
"The images from Charlie Kirk's funeral speak for themselves: the wife's words of forgiveness, the composed reaction of a community in prayer, the chants, the tens of thousands of people present," said Meloni, the leader of the right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party.
"A powerful message to the entire world: one can respond to hatred and political violence with the strength of love, faith, and freedom.
"And Charlie will continue to live on as a symbol of what he always defended: dialogue and freedom".
