Lyndon Dykes strikes late as Birmingham beat Swansea
Vale gives QPR win; Leicester and Coventry draw blank
Lyndon Dykes’ added-time goal helped Birmingham bounce back from two straight defeats in the Championship with a 1-0 win over Swansea.
The Scotland international, who was the subject of a deadline-day inquiry from Hibernian, produced a trademark header from his fellow substitute Patrick Roberts’ cross four minutes into added time to end the Swans’ stubborn second-half resistance.
Dykes was introduced from the bench with only a few minutes to go but managed to outjump a tiring visiting defence to secure the hosts’ second home league win of the season.
