Bad Bunny, the superstar rapper who has taunted President Donald Trump, will kick off the new season of “Saturday Night Live” as its host on Oct. 4, the show announced Thursday. The musical guest will be Doja Cat.

“SNL” alum Amy Poehler hosts the Oct. 11 installment with Role Model as the musical guest. Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter will serve as host and musical guest on Oct. 18.

Bad Bunny’s appearance could generate fireworks amid an extremely tense climate on network TV. The Puerto Rican singer has not been shy about jabbing at the president, whose administration’s pressure led to the suspension of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

In July, Bad Bunny released a music video that addressed Trump’s anti-immigrant crackdown ― but with satire. A voice mimicking the president actually apologizes and admits his “mistake.”

“I want to say that this country is nothing without the immigrants,” the voice says. “This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans…”
