While one storm weakens, the weather is expected to worsen next week due to Tropical Storm Ragasa, which could strengthen into a super typhoon
Hong Kong’s Observatory cancelled all typhoon warnings on Saturday morning as Tropical Depression Mitag moved further away from the city.
However, the weather could worsen next week with the possible arrival of Tropical Storm Ragasa, which is expected to strengthen into a super typhoon.
At 10.40am, the forecaster downgraded the typhoon warning to the No 1 standby signal, which had been issued at 9.20am, replacing the previous No 3 strong wind signal.
The No 3 warning was originally issued on Friday morning.
