The EU has proposed halting Russian LNG imports from January 2027 — a year earlier than planned — as part of its 19th sanctions package.
The EU is looking to prohibit all imports of Russian LNG from January 2027, as well as tighten restrictions on Russia’s shadow oil trade in its 19th sanctions package presented to its 27 member states on Friday.
