A builder accused of helping steal a £270,000 Banksy print to add to his home gallery of heart-themed paintings has been cleared of burglary.

James Love, 54, was said to have acted as the getaway driver following the theft of the signed artwork from a gallery in central London on September 8 last year.

The prosecution alleged Love had helped steal the 'Girl with Balloon' so he could give it to his girlfriend for her 50th birthday.

Her surname is 'Heart' and Love wanted to give her the iconic print as a 'grand romantic gesture', jurors previously heard.

Larry Fraser, 48, from Beckton, east London, admitted burglary last October and is awaiting his sentencing.
