A man found "lying in a pool of blood" at the Burning Man festival earlier this summer was stabbed in the neck with a kitchen knife, authorities said in an update.

The man was discovered dead the night of Aug. 30, as attendees known as "Burners" watched a wooden man effigy begin to burn in the culminating event of the weeklong festival in the Black Rock Desert, authorities with the Pershing County Sheriff's Office in Nevada said.

The sheriff's office revealed this week that a kitchen knife was found next to the victim, who was identified as 37-year-old Vadim Kruglov. A suspect has still not been identified despite hundreds of tips to law enforcement, the sheriff's office said.

"It appears the injury was caused by a single stab wound to the victim's neck," the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office sent a picture of a green kitchen knife as an example of what was found at the crime scene.
