Sept. 18 (UPI) -- The Turning Point USA board unanimously voted to make Erika Kirk its new chair and chief executive officer in accordance with the wishes of Charlie Kirk.
Erika Kirk is Charlie Kirk's widow and was his choice to succeed him as the conservative organization's leader if something were to happen to him.
"It was the honor of our lives to serve as board members atCharlie's side," Turning Point USA representative Doug De Groote and others said Wednesday in a news release.
"Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one," De Groote, et al., said.
