Mr Kirk, aged 31, was fatally shot at a college campus on 11 September, with Mr Trump describing him as a "great American" who was killed for "speaking his mind". These remarks were made by Mr Trump during a press conference in Britain on Thursday, 18 September, alongside Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
