The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Southern Zone, will operate a Panch Jyotirling Yatra on a Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train from November 21 to December 1 (10 nights, 11 days) via Mangaluru Junction.The special tourist train, with package code SZBG24, will originate at Tirunelveli Junction on November 21 at 5.30 a.m. Pilgrims will be taken to five prominent Jyotirlinga temples – Nageshwar, Somnath, Bhimashankar, Triambakeshwar, and Girishneshwar – along with a visit to the historic Ellora Caves.The destinations and visits include Dwaraka-Dwarakadhish temple, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Beyt Dwaarka, and Rukmini Mandir, Somnath-Somnath Jyotirling, Pune-Bhimashankar Jyotirling, Nasik-Triambakeshwar Jyotirling and Panchwati, and Aurangabad-Grishneshwar Jyotirling, and Ellora Caves.The Bharat Gaurav Special Train will have a one 2-tier AC, six 3-tier AC, four sleeper class, one pantry car, and two generator car coaches. Tourists may board the train at the following junctions: Tirunelveli Junction, Nagercoil Town, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Kollam Junction. Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Mangaluru Junction.The de-boarding points include Salem, Erode, Podanur, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chengannur, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Nagercoil, Tirunelveli.In all, 624 berths, including 160 economy, 414 standard, and 50 comfort, are available on the train.The package tariff for a passenger will be ₹19,770 for sleeper (₹18,500 for child aged between 5 and 11), ₹31,930 for standard (AC 3-tier) (₹30,440 for child), and ₹42,010 for comfort (AC 2-tier) (₹40,220 for child) class.The package offers comfortable travel in AC or sleeper class coaches, AC/non-AC hotel accommodation or fresh-up facilities at destinations, AC/non-AC road transfers, onboard and offboard south Indian vegetarian meals with packaged drinking water, tour escorts and onboard security, and comprehensive travel insurance.Indian Railways is providing about 33% concession to promote rail tourism and the fares indicated are inclusive of the concession.For bookings and details, tourists may visit the IRCTC website.
