Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Three police officers were shot and killed and two others were critically wounded while serving a warrant in rural York County, Pa., on Wednesday afternoon.
The shooter also is dead, while the two wounded officers are hospitalized in stable but critical condition, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
A medivac helicopter carried the two injured officers to the WellSpan York Hospital, which confirmed the two officers were receiving medical treatment, NBC News reported.
The hospital enacted enhanced security protocols while treating the officers.
