Ben & Jerry's co-founder Jerry Greenfield has abandoned the $326million iconic ice cream brand after its parent company refused to back their liberal values.
Greenfield's dramatic exit marked the latest clash in a four-year battle that was ignited in 2021, when the ice cream brand refused to sell in Israeli-occupied West Bank.
Greenfield blasted parent business Unilever, saying they axed its social justice activism.
The Phish Food maker has since sued its parent company over alleged efforts to silence it when they described the Gaza conflict as 'genocide'.
Greenfield declared he could no longer 'in good conscience' remain an employee of a firm that had been 'silenced' by Unilever.
