A four-year-old girl who suffered from episodes of sleepwalking has died after plunging from the fifth-floor balcony of her home in the Costa Blanca, according to Spanish media
The youngster lost her fight for life at a hospital in Alicante after the tragic 5am fall at an apartment block in the nearby resort of Calpe on September 7.
Neither parent was at the property at the time and her 15-year-old sister had been left in charge of her and her one-year-old brother.
Her mother and father reportedly took her to a local health centre before she was transferred to Alicante's General Hospital in a critical condition.
The young girl died five days later due to the severity of her injuries, although news of the youngster's death only emerged in the last few hours.
