London mayor Sir Sadiq Khan has enjoyed a £5,000 pay rise and now earns more than the Prime Minister, it was revealed today.
Following his pay bump, Sir Sadiq is on a salary of £170,282 for his role overseeing the capital.
This is almost £1,000 higher than the £169,344 that Sir Keir Starmer earns for being PM.
Sir Keir is given a salary of £93,904 for being an MP, while he also accepts £75,440 as a ministerial salary.
Like other recent PMs, Sir Keir does not claim his full ministerial allowance of £80,807.
