Eight people have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy in Kasaragod, Kerala, whom he reportedly met through a dating app. The sexual assaults allegedly happened over two years.

A total of 14 persons, including a senior officer from the Education department, a senior Railway Protection Force official, and a political leader, have been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in connection with the incidents.
