Chief executive also chooses to keep green as theme colour, symbolising vitality, sustainability and city’s ongoing vibrancy for ‘brighter future’

Hong Kong’s leader has announced that his policy address, to be delivered on Wednesday, will focus on deepening reforms, boosting the economy and enhancing livelihoods while leveraging the city’s strengths.

Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu also said on Tuesday that he chose to keep green as the theme colour, adding that it symbolised vitality and sustainability, and reflected the city’s continuing vibrancy for a “brighter future”.

“The central purpose is to improve the economy and livelihood, as reflected in my previous policy addresses … The government will implement the blueprint’s philosophy.”

He said the policy address was drafted after officials attended more than 40 consultations and directly interacted with the community, adding that the government also received 10,100 submissions.
