The State government has added 155 healthcare services offered in government hospitals under its policy, according to a Health Department press note on Monday, September 15. Common procedures such as hysterectomy, appendectomy, and ENT services are included in this addition. With these new services, the total number of treatments offered under the policy in government hospitals across the State now stands at 324.

Currently, 197 medical services provided under the Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva scheme—which are rarely availed of by beneficiaries—will continue to be offered free of charge by the Trust. These rare services include procedures like thymus gland removal and excision of the first part of the small intestine (duodenum).
