Danny Kruger today became the first sitting Conservative MP to defect to Reform UK.
The East Wiltshire MP’s defection was unveiled at a press conference on Monday.
Reform leader Nigel Farage said Mr Kruger would head up his party's efforts to prepare for Government.
It is the latest in a string of defections from the Conservatives to Reform in recent months.
At Reform's conference this month, Mr Farage said more Tory ex-ministers would be joining following the defection of former culture secretary Nadine Dorries.
