President Donald Trump is getting the royal treatment this week as King Charles III hosts the president and hundreds of other guests at Windsor Castle for a lavish, multiday affair aimed at smoothing over trade and security relations between the U.S. and U.K.
On Tuesday, Trump and the first lady will head to the U.K. on the heels of a massive “free speech” demonstration in London over the weekend led by the country’s far-right factions, in part to eulogize conservative activist Charlie Kirk after he was shot and killed at a speaking event in Utah last week.
Right-wing groups around the world are still grappling with Kirk’s murder, and memorial events and demonstrations were scheduled throughout the week, including an episode of “The Charlie Kirk Show” hosted by Vice President JD Vance on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration hinted Monday that the president was finalizing a deal with China to keep TikTok operational in the States, with reports suggesting a deal and an announcement could be made Friday.
