Cabby, 72, failed to stop in time and crashed into two private cars involved in earlier collision
A 72-year-old taxi driver has died after his vehicle slammed into two private cars involved in an earlier crash that had blocked a bypass, in a serious accident that also injured six people.
Police said on Monday that the two private cars collided on the Kwun Tong Bypass at 11.05pm the previous day.
When the two drivers, 41 and 43, left their cars at the scene and stepped out to inspect the damage, the 72-year-old cabby failed to stop in time and crashed into the already collided vehicles.
The taxi driver sustained serious injuries and was rushed to United Christian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.
