A British-born Sikh woman 'beaten and raped' on her way to work, in what police described as a racially motivated attack, has spoken of being 'deeply affected' by the incident.
The perpetrators reportedly told the woman, believed to be in her 20s, 'you don't belong in this country, get out' during the course of her sexual assault on Tuesday, the Sikh Federation (UK) said.
The attack is alleged to have taken place in broad daylight between 8am and 8.30am on September 9 in the Tame Road area of Oldbury, West Midlands.
West Midlands Police are investigating and are looking for two white men in connection with the sexual assault.
The first suspect was described as having a shaved head and a heavy build, and was wearing a dark sweatshirt with gloves on, and the second was reportedly wearing a grey top with a silver zip.
