The Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), which entered its 21st year on Sunday, will announce its political position and alliance decision at the party’s State conference to be held in Cuddalore on January 9, party general secretary Premallatha Vijayakant said here on Sunday.
Commenting on Mr. Vijay’s fan base, she told presspersons that while large crowds appear impressive to outsiders, it was not unusual for those who had grown alongside Vijayakant. “It remains to be seen how Vijay takes it forward. At political rallies, police should ensure alternative routes for ambulances,” she said.
