Oregon coach Dan Lanning spoke for nearly four minutes about the fractured state of culture in the United States after the No. 4 Ducks beat Northwestern 34-14 Saturday in Evanston, Ill. Lanning was asked how the Ducks handled the discussion regarding the death of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday, who was shot and killed during an appearance at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Lanning, who spoke out against gun violence in a postgame news conference in 2023 after a mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, left 18 dead and 13 others injured, said “life matters, and you know, I think people have lost sight of that.”

Absolutely worth three minutes of your time.
