He’s feeling fitter and more confident than ever and for Alexis Badel, the results are showing.
Fresh from his first success of the season at Happy Valley on Wednesday night, the French jockey made it a week to remember after dominating Sunday’s Sha Tin meeting with a treble.
“I’ve been given good rides and everything went smooth. I feel fit and confident,” said Badel, who has hit the ground running after a successful riding stint in Japan during the off-season.
Badel booted home Frankie Lor Fu-chuen’s My Flying Angel in Sunday’s opener, the Class Five Hong Tung Handicap (1,400m), before bagging the biggest upset win of the season so far.
