“I know what is good for me and when it’s time to walk away. It wasn’t time,” Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce told The Athletic at the Brussels Diamond League last month.
“I’m looking forward to finishing the chapter and ending this career in a magnificent way. I am sure it will all work out in Tokyo.”
If anyone deserves to write their own ending, it is Fraser-Pryce. Now 38, Jamaica’s sprint queen is back one final time.
