Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday (September 13, 2025) launched a ₹1.5-crore “hotline maintenance van” as part of a pilot project to ensure uninterrupted power in her Shalimar Bagh constituency during electricity maintenance works.

Similar vehicles will be made available in every Assembly constituency as part of the larger project, said the CM, without sharing more details. She added that the work of installing LEDs in 44,000 streetlights across Delhi is progressing at a fast pace, and the Capital “will be seen glittering before Deepavali”.

State-of-the-art system

“Congratulations to the residents of Shalimar Bagh Assembly Constituency. Today, our area has received the gift of a hotline maintenance van under a pilot project. This state-of-the-art van will repair electricity wires without cutting off the power supply,” Ms. Gupta said in a post on X.

With the cooperation and trust of the public, we will realise the resolution of developed Delhi, developed India,” said the Chief Minister after inaugurating several civic amenities in Shalimar Bagh.
