Development Minister Kapil Mishra on Saturday visited Dabri, Nasirpur, Manglapuri and Sagarpur villages in Dwarka Assembly constituency and accused the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of “neglecting rural areas”.

The Minister alleged that the villages have been in dismay for almost a decade. Mr. Mishra said he learnt from the villagers that no Minister had reached out to them. He added that “chaupals (community halls) are in a dilapidated state, roads are in poor condition, water scarcity persists, and streetlights remain dysfunctional”.

Mr. Mishra said that with the Bharatiya Janata Party in power, all the issues will now be resolved in a time-bound manner.

The Minister directed the relevant departments to complete works, including the redevelopment of street roads, drains, water and sewer lines, the installation of streetlights, and the repair of chaupals, within a fixed timeline.

“Our aim is to redevelop every chaupal, every street, every field, and every water body. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, every village in Delhi will now be integrated into the mainstream,” he added.
