This is the multi-million pound house at the centre of a bitter five-year planning battle in a seaside celebrity enclave nicknamed Hollywood on Sea.

Locals in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall, have been left furious after a neighbour built a swimming pool, garage and office building.

Dean Robson who runs a solar and renewable energy company as well as several other local businesses has previously claimed he thought the structures were allowed under permitted development rules.

But despite both Cornwall Council and the Planning Inspectorate rejecting this claim, Mr Robson has remained steadfastly unwilling to demolish the structures by the July 2025 deadline, potentially forcing the council to take further action.

Now officials are ramping up the pressure on the homeowner - fearing others could follow suit in the village that has seen many of its traditional stone cottages turned into California-style whitewashed render and glass mansions in recent years.
