The Israeli Defense Force's Arabic-language spokesperson, Colonel Avichay Adraee, posted a message on Saturday to X, addressing Gaza residents, claiming that over 250,000 people have "evacuated" Gaza City for their safety.

He urged civilians to use Al-Rashid Street to reach "humanitarian zones" in Al-Mawasi and areas in southern refugee camps, where, he said, services including healthcare are "better."
Adraee said the IDF is "determined to confront Hamas in Gaza City" and that the military is "intensifying" the pace of its operations. He added that Hamas attempts to "spread lies and prevent movement" put civilians at risk.
