His words to her have been heard around the world. "Jules, this is Brian—listen, I'm on an airplane that's been hijacked."
On the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, Brian Sweeney boarded a United Airlines flight. It was a Boeing jet. He was a pilot, but not on that plane. An All-American guy from Massachusetts. Served in the U.S. Navy. Loved his mom and pop.
Then, terror took over. He called his wife Julie Sweeney Roth – after Flight 175 was hijacked and flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center – and left a message. In the two decades since 9/11, the voicemail has went viral. Now, 24 years later, Sweeney Roth is looking back – and trying to move forward.

"If things don't go well, and it's not looking good, I just want you to know I absolutely love you, I want you to do good, go have good times, same to my parents and everybody," Sweeney said in the message.
