The weather’s a bit better, so Jofra Archer comes back. No point in risking him in dodgy conditions. I’m glad Luke Wood keeps his place – he’s excellent with the new ball every time he plays.
Bjorn Fortuin, brought into the squad for the injured Keshav Maharaj, replaces Corbin Bosch who was going to have a rest on Wednesdya until it rained and the bowlers were restricted to a maximum of two overs each.
SA Aiden Markram (capt), Ryan Rickleton (wk), Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Dewald Brevis, Tristan Stubbs, Donovan Ferreira, Marco Jansen, Bjorn Fortuin, Kwena Maphaka, Kagiso Rabada, Lizaad Williams.
Aiden Markram: “Not totally convinced, the wicket looks a bit different with all the rain around, but hope to find the moisture in it. It’s an opportunity on a good evening to play a good T20 game. We’ll keep pushing the ceiling as high as we can.”
Harry Brook: “We would have had a bat. The pitch has been used a week or so ago. Hopefully it’ll spin. We’ll look to use the dimensions of the field. [Are you tired?] Every day of putting an England jersey on is awesome. It’s the last couple of pushes for me, then a nice break.”
