The Netherlands is the second country to follow Ireland's stance on boycotting Eurovision if Israel remains as a participant.

It comes as a UK musician who co-wrote a winning Eurovision entry calls for the BBC to stand in solidarity with Palestine and follow suit.

Public broadcasters RTE in Ireland and Avrotros in the Netherlands announced they won't take part in next years show if Israel can perform.

It follows Israeli singer and October 7 survivor, Yuval Raphael being booed and jeered from pro-Palestinian supporters in the crowd during the final of this years Eurovision contest.

RTE said multiple members of the European Broadcasting Union who run the contest have raised concerns about Israel participating.
