Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed sustained a broken collarbone during a win over the Washington Commanders, coach Matt LaFleur told reporters.

LaFleur spoke about the injury after the Packers' 27-18 triumph Thursday in Green Bay, Wis. A source told NFL Network that Reed is expected to miss six to eight weeks due to the injury. Reed posted "I'll be back," Friday on X.

"He is going to miss a lot of time," LaFleur told reporters. "Unfortunately, he broke his collarbone. He'll be down for quite some time. We'll see how fast he can recover and heal.

"Certainly, I would expect him back at some point this season. Obviously, it's a big blow to us. He is a guy that is a catalyst for our offense and our football team."
