Bjorn Hellgren produces one of the finest rounds of his career to take one-shot lead going into weekend at Shinhan Donghae Open
Bjorn Hellgren catapulted himself to the top of the Shinhan Donghae Open leaderboard with a scintillating 64 on Friday.
The Swede’s eight-under-par effort left him one shot clear of a packed field, with just three strokes separating him from a large group – including Taichi Kho – tied for eighth on six under.
In a four-way tie for second, Ryutaro Nagano, Tae-hoon Ok, Taiki Yoshida and Sang-hee Lee all reached the weekend on eight under at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club. Young-han Song and Kazuki Higa were a stroke further back.
Looking for his first win on the Asian Tour, Hellgren made an eagle and six birdies for one of the finest rounds of his 12-year professional career.
