A public relations staffer for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers has reportedly been fired over a controversial Instagram post about the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, according to The Charlotte Observer.
Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University.
The suspected shooter remains at large.
Panthers football communications coordinator Charlie Rock reportedly posted a video of Kirk defending the Second Amendment and captioned it: “Why are y’all sad? Your man said it was worth it.”
Rock also shared a screenshot of the Wu-Tang Clan song “Protect Ya Neck.”
