Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (September 11, 2025) announced a financial assistance of ₹1,200 crore for flood-affected Uttarakhand. Mr. Modi, during his visit to the State, also announced an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for those injured in rain-related incidents.The Prime Minister, who could not conduct the aerial survey of the flood-affected areas due to bad weather, announced comprehensive support for children who lost their parents in the floods or related incidents. The same would be taken care under the PM CARES.He expressed condolences to the kin of those who lost their lives in the natural calamity and met the families affected by the recent floods. Mr. Modi appreciated the efforts of the personnel of the NDRF, SDRF, Army, State administration and other service-oriented organisations for making efforts in immediate relief and response.
