Asia-Pacific markets were set to open mixed Thursday after Wall Street continued to reach record highs over Fed-rate cut hopes and positive inflation data.
Japan’s Nikkei 225
was set to open higher, with the futures contract in Chicago at 43,860, and its counterpart in Osaka at 43,870, against the index’s last close of 43,837.67.
Over in Australia, the ASX/S&P 200 was poised for a lower open, with the futures contract last trading at 8,805, against the index’s Wednesday close at 8,830.4.
