WASHINGTON − President Donald Trump reacted to Russian's drone incursion into Poland's airspace with a brief statement that raised eyebrows as Poland's leaders and other western allies condemned the action.
"What’s with Russia violating Poland’s airspace with drones? Here we go!" Trump said, without elaborating, in a Sept. 10 post on his social media platform Truth Social.
Poland's military said earlier it shot down Russian drones that violated its airspace during a Russian air attack on Ukraine, marking the first time a NATO member directly engaged with Russian military assets in their own airspace since Moscow's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk told his parliament it was "the closest we have been to open conflict since World War Two," though he also said he had "no reason to believe we're on the brink of war."
