Special pujas will be held at Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Simhachalam from September 23 to October 1 as part of the Saran Navarathri celebrations. The temple will also host Sri Ramayana Navararathra parayanam during the same period, according to the executive officer V. Trinadha Rao.

On Vijaya Dasami at 3.30 p.m. on October 2, the utsava murthies (processional deities) with Sri Govindaraja Swamy decorated as ‘Sri Rama’ would be ceremoniously brought down the hill via the temple steps. Shami Puja (Jammi Veta) would be performed in a grand manner in the flower garden at the foothills.
