The Yelahanka New Town police have arrested a construction labourer for allegedly bludgeoning his wife to death over a domestic row at their rented house on August 3.The accused Saidulu had escaped to his home town Rajahmundry, from where the police tracked him down and arrested him on Tuesday.According to the police, the accused Saidulu was married to deceased Ameema in 2019. It was a love marriage. He had hidden his first marriage from Ameema. The couple had moved into the city for work one and half months ago and rented a house in Yelahanka new town.The deceased came to know about Saidulu’s first marriage and started having fights frequently and in a fit of rage on August 3, Saidulu allegedly attacked her with a wooden log, killing her on the spot, and escaped .The accused has been charged with murder and taken into custody. .
