A man's body was been discovered at an allotment as the site was 'swarmed' by police looking for clues, including officers in hazmat suits.
Neighbours and plotholders have told of their shock after the discovery at Town Farm Allotments in Middlesbrough.
Investigations were still being carried out today a day later, 24 hours on - with suggestions police were scrutinising two separate areas within the site.
One onlooker said: 'Police have closed two allotments within the full site - they’re stood on guard and they're all taped off.
'One where the body is and one where the location of a phone call was made.'
