WASHINGTON - A group of protesters confronted President Donald Trump at a local restaurant in D.C., chanting “free Palestine” and calling Trump the “Hitler of our time.”

The incident occurred after Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio entered Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, a couple of blocks from the White House, the evening of Sept. 9.

Trump had told reporters that he was eating out to showcase how much safer D.C. has become since his federal crackdown on crime.

But Trump came face to face with activists from the grassroots group Code Pink, according to a video clip shared on X. The activists were shouting, “Free D.C., free Palestine, Trump is the Hitler of our time.”

Trump stood in front of the protesters, smiling for a bit, before signaling security to escort the activists out of the restaurant. As they were being led out, they claimed Trump was “terrorizing Gaza and communities all over the world.”
