A Pakistani national, who had been illegally staying in India for over a decade, was deported by Hyderabad police on Tuesday (September 9, 2025), officials confirmed.Muhammad Usman alias Md Abbas Ikram, 48, was repatriated through the Attari Border in Punjab . According to police, he had unlawfully entered India from Nepal in 2011 and was subsequently involved in four criminal cases in Hyderabad, for which he served varying prison terms ranging from one month to five years.Following the completion of his sentences and legal proceedings, Usman was placed in the Detention Centre at the Central Crime Station (CCS), Hyderabad, on September 7, 2024. After due coordination between the Hyderabad City Police, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs, he was formally handed over to the Pakistan Rangers.The CCS detention facility, established in August 2018, has accommodated 158 foreign nationals from 19 countries to date, with 150 deportations already carried out. Last month, on August 12, 2025, 20 Bangladeshi nationals linked to cases of illegal stay and human trafficking were deported via the Indo-Bangladesh border.
