Sept. 9 (UPI) -- A Florida sheriff's office shared video from the tense encounter that resulted when a K-9 searching for a suspect in a wooded area came face-to-face with a bear.
The Volusia Sheriff's Office said the K-9, named Gator, and his handler were searching through the woods for an aggravated battery suspect during the weekend.
"He found a hidden forest dweller instead: His first bear," the Sheriff's Office said on social media.
"Holy [expletive], that's a bear," a deputy exclaims in body camera footage shared by the sheriff's office.
The post also included video of the bear as seen from an aerial camera.
