It was not clear if anyone was hurt in the second attack on the Qatari capital in the nearly two years of the Israel-Gaza war
Black smoke rose over the skyline of the Qatari capital, Doha, with authorities there acknowledging the strike.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was hurt in the attack, marking the second time the energy-rich nation has been directly hit in the nearly two years of war that have gripped the wider Middle East since Hamas’ attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
The Israeli military said it targeted senior Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital, where the Palestinian group’s political bureau is based.
“The [Israeli military] and [security agency] conducted a precise strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organisation,” the military said.
